Somatic Dance Meditation - Practice
This practice invites you to move from a place that isn’t performative or planned. Somatic Dance is about tuning into what your body knows, and letting movement arise from that quiet place of inner guidance. This practice reconnects me with my body’s truth. It helps me get out of my head, move through emotion, and return to a sense of freedom and trust in myself.
The dance journey is structured around the five elements:
Earth grounds you.
Water softens and allows deeper reflection.
Fire awakens your energy and passion.
Air brings release and expansion.
Ether is spacious and open, where everything begins to integrate.
Each element holds a different energy, and I’ll guide you through them with my voice and music. You don’t have to think about what to do. Just keep breathing and let your body respond.
How to Prepare
• Create a space where you can move freely, barefoot if possible
• Dim the lights or light a candle if it helps you drop in
• Wear comfortable clothes you can move in
• Try not to look in the mirror or check how it looks, stay inward
• If emotions come up, let them move through you
After the session, rest or journal to help integrate.
