Art Therapy
This is a gentle creative practice to explore what you’re holding inside. You’ll be guided to paint your “inner landscape” as it feels right now, using colour, shape, and texture. No art experience needed.
Art therapy is based on the idea that when we create with our hands, we access parts of the psyche that words can’t always reach. It’s a process that can bring unconscious feelings to the surface, helping us witness what’s often overlooked or unspoken.
This practice helps me drop out of the thinking mind and connect with the emotional layers beneath. It gives form to what’s usually hidden.
Let yourself follow the process without needing to make sense of it. You don’t need to know what you’re painting before you begin. Just start, and see what appears.
How to Prepare
• Gather simple materials like paper, paints or pastels, water, and brushes
• Set up a space where you feel safe to create without interruptions
• Lay down a towel or cloth if you're using wet materials
• Let go of needing it to look good or mean anything
When you’re finished, take a few moments to reflect or write about what came up in your retreat guide
