Cacao & Intention Setting Ritual

Ceremonial cacao is pure, minimally processed cacao made from whole cacao beans. It’s rich, earthy, and naturally uplifting thanks to theobromine and minerals like magnesium. Unlike cocoa powder or chocolate bars, it’s not diluted with sugars or fillers! So a small amount goes a long way. We use it as a steady, heart-opening ally for presence and connection.

why set an intention?

Intention turns a cup into a ritual. It focuses your attention, softens the noise, and asks: “What matters right now?” We slow down, breathe, and sip with meaning. Your intention becomes a tiny compass you can carry into the rest of your retreat.

Cacao RECIPE

Ingredients

  • 20–25 g ceremonial cacao

  • 200 ml hot water or plant milk

  • Optional: pinch of cinnamon, cardamom, a little honey or maple, pinch of sea salt

Method

  1. Finely chop the cacao.

  2. Heat water/plant milk to just off the boil.

  3. Blend or whisk with the cacao until smooth and slightly frothy (add spices/sweetener to taste).

  4. Pour into your favourite mug. Pause. Breathe. Sip slowly.

Notes: Listen to your body: cacao is gently stimulating. If you’re pregnant, have a heart condition, or take medications (especially MAOIs), check with a health professional. Avoid combining with lots of caffeine.

YOGA NIDRA MEDITATION

Welcome to your Yoga Nidra practice.
Find a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed. Lie down on your back, make yourself as comfortable as possible, and support your body with a pillow under the knees or a blanket if needed. Close your eyes and let your arms rest by your sides, palms facing up.

In this session, I’ll guide you through a step-by-step body scan, breath awareness, and simple visualisations to help you move into a state between waking and sleep. All you have to do is stay still, listen, and follow my voice.

If your mind drifts, simply notice it and return to the words you hear. There’s no right or wrong way to experience this, your body will take what it needs. By the end, you’ll feel deeply rested, as though you’ve had hours of sleep.

“Music is the closest thing we have to time travel, it doesn’t just accompany an experience, it becomes the experience.”
